This varied journey gives a panoramic view of the island. We first drive through 5 climate zones over many curves to the highest point of the island. Here we enjoy the breathtaking view of the largest erosion crater in the world and over the neighboring islands of Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro. The observatories are also impressive with their presence and we can even take a closer look at the open mirror telescopes MAGIC. We let the scenery sink in with a small picnic. After a toilet stop, the journey continues to the northwest, where we dive into the dense and largely unknown laurel forest of la Zarza. A short walk with a lot to marvel at. The next stop is the El Time viewpoint, from which we get an overview of the entire Aridane Valley and the devastating extent of the volcanic eruption of 2021. At around 4pm, there is a final photo stop right at the foot of the volcano before heading back to the hotel. Few people have ever experienced a more varied trip.
