On our city tour we immerse ourselves in the history(s) of the capital and its historic buildings. The mill path takes us over 152 steps past several grain mills that are cleverly connected one behind the other to a mountain ridge with a wonderful panoramic view. We pass one of the strangest football stadiums in the world (Guinness Book of Records) and finally reach the Las Nieves pilgrimage church. After delicious tapas, we explore – hidden in a natural gorge – the hydroelectric power station built in 1893, which made Santa Cruz de la Palma the sixth city in the world to supply electric light.
